Satya Nadella's Restructuring Plan

The not much old appointed CEO of Microsoft Mr.Satya Nadella, opened up saying that their team rather believes in building an innovation and not follow the old technology traditions which are being followed up till now. With the birth of “mobile-first, cloud first world” concept, the CEO wishes to energize every individual and organization on earth.

As he conveyed his words on the Worldwide Partner Conference, “This is a bold ambition with massive opportunity for our partners as we design Microsoft experiences that one can creatively extend their business”.  Nadella believes that they should work on innovation in their core and eventually rediscover the soul of Microsoft. He personally shared his views on cloud first world that how he has a vision to empower every person and organization by reinventing the productivity to achieve more.

Nadella said that there will be a time where more than 3 billion people will connect to the internet with their devices, be it a small village farmer or a high class professional using their smartphones.  Also, they will create more natural human computing interfaces that empower everybody by creating the right balance between using data to create intelligent, personal experiences keeping the security in mind.

"We have grown very well. And we know, we have a lot more to do to get India truly, truly on line and truly use technology to unleash everyone's potential. This remains our driving force in India," Meetul Patel said. Mr.Patel seems to be very energized about the technology adoption in India. Microsoft is focusing on barriers to technology adoption for small businesses.  Microsoft feels that, the cloud could be easily accessible and a viable option for small businesses in India. This could prove to be a boon to the smaller sector of the business to grow potentially and widen their businesses. The cloud will be a feasible option for the businesses as it could be accessed from anywhere on any device which could help the person to manage and function the business smoothly.

Though, Microsoft is planning to cut jobs in five years as the software maker looks to integrate the Nokia handset unit. It seems they could make the reductions soon and it could be in the Nokia team and a few from the Microsoft that club with the business.

Microsoft has 1,27,000 employees today after taking over the Nokia earlier this year. The number of employees today at Microsoft are far more than Apple or Google. However, this activity of job cuts could prove to be Microsoft’s major layoffs since 2009. In the year 2009, the number of job cuts were 5,800 & this number could go up this year. Marketing department, software testers, are some of the branches which could face the major job cuts. Though there was a circular spread in Microsoft by Nadella that they will be working on flattening the organization and develop smooth business processes, but it did not mention anything about the job cuts. Soon he will also address the details of the issues of organization and finance that the company might twist in the financial year.
