Amazon Will Sell The OnePlus One In India


OnePlus, the one-year-old smartphone manufacturer from China, On Wednesday said that its OnePlus One phone will be available in India from December 2. This is the first time a Chinese startup has partnered with a local e-commerce website to try its luck with the invite-only product.

OnePlus One sports a 5.5 inch full-HD display, running on CyanogenMod version software based on Android 4.4 KitKat. It packs a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 2 GB RAM. On the imaging front, there are 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras.

OnePlus One is highly expected to be priced at under Rs 20K for the 16 GB model and under Rs 25K for the larger 64 GB option. The company has not shared the pricing details and this will be announced at the launch event itself.

According to Amazon.in, for now the company has only 1000 invites available for the phone. A consumer does need to follow a tedious process in order to gain an invite. First, you'll have to subscribe to the OnePlus newsletter on Amazon.in.

After subscribing and receiving a subscription mail, you'll have to click on the unique link to register with your OnePlus account. This will entitle you an invite. Once you get your invite, click on 'Buy' to purchase on Amazon.in. Once routed back to Amazon.in, choose the one in Sandstone black, enter the invite code on product page and proceed to checkout.
