Smartphones, Smartphones & Smartphones. The first question that pops up in your mind when you hear this word is “which brand?” Now talking about brands and features is like everyday thing. Let’s get to the bottom line, i.e. why would someone want to buy your smartphone.

The gadget which has gone through all the thick and thin to stay ahead in the tech market of phones, is it really worth buying it? Nowadays, consumers keep a special budget for phones.

Smartphones have somewhere created a mindset with the consumers that smartphones are not cheaper! Well, that’s not really true, especially when you are in India or China. Well, we certainly can’t miss to mention about Apple, which has certainly turned many heads towards it gadget. There is no need to even mention or justify something about it. Consumers using Apple find it difficult to opt for some other brands once they get their hands on Apple. Now let’s count some other brands which have stepped into the market of smartphone and brought drastic changes in it! To mention a few, Samsung, Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, etc. are some names which are quite popular in the Indian market today. If you exclude Samsung all the above mentioned brands a quite economical. Micromax, an India based company has really played a smart game in India with it really affordable and attractive pieces of handsets. Not only Micromax, but other brands like Lava, Karbonn or even Intex have come up with low prices phones which helped the low budget consumers to buy a smartphone.

Micromax has played a vital role in the Indian market since they came up with the Canvas series. Big on screen size, easy to use and also introduced phones with the latest OS. According to Counterpoint research, Micromax accounted for 16.6 per cent market share between April to June 2014, ahead of Samsung's 14.4 per cent, Nokia's 10.9 per cent and Karbonn's 9.5 per cent share. In the January to March quarter, Micromax's market share stood at 13 per cent, the research noted. Globally, Micromax became the tenth largest handset brand in terms of mobile phone shipment volumes during the second quarter, according to the research. However, Samsung continues to lead in the domestic smartphone market with 15.3 per cent market share in the second quarter, ahead of Micromax's 19.1 per cent share. With heavy advertising and phones based on Google Inc's Android software starting at almost half the price of a comparable Samsung model, Micromax has brought smartphones to the masses in a price-sensitive market where basic handsets still dominate.

Well, that’s for Micromax, but what does the new Xiomi Mi3 says, just today when flipkart.com started the sale again, it did not take more than an hour to get sold out. This phone is a delight. Known as the Apple of China. Xiomi Mi3 is known to be one of the most affordable and advanced phones ever launched. The specification are highly competitive to the phones which are almost double its price. Well, this race is getting broader and longer month by month with the new technology arriving in the market. Xiomi is yet to reveal its Mi4 handset and the specifications news are itself jaw dropping. This could kill literally!!
