After teasing a video and a poster for a round faced smartwatch , LG has officially pulled the wraps off the LG G Watch R, a direct competitor to Motorola's Moto 360.
The premium smartwatch will be showcased at the company’s booth during the upcoming IFA convention in Berlin. As the name suggests, the screen is a fully circular Plastic OLED display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The specifications of the device include Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in memory, 410mAh battery and the usual gyro, accelerometer, compass and barometer sensors. People expecting a wide range of colors will be let down as the smartwatch will be available only in black.
The pricing and availability for the G Watch R is not known so far but expect it to start rolling out in the holiday season during early Q4.
